Don't be silly, eating healthy fruits is better for your budget. Fruit is surprisingly cheap. An average banana costs just 20c, less than most candy bars from the office vending machine, and it definitely provides more nourishment and far less calories.
Always make sure you buy fresh seasonal fruits, not only are they cheaper they will also be full of flavour and at their best. Use fruit markets as they tend to be cheaper than supermarkets, particularly if you go when they're packing up for the day.
If you choose supermarket own brand canned or frozen fruit, rather than fresh healhty fruits, they're still the healthier option. Although you should try to find fruit packed in its own juice rather than syrup or concentrated grape juice.
